Awesome 2011 Sun Sign Forecast
Being this is my first blog entry, I want to tell you about a recent experience I had. Recently I was invited to be the keynote speaker at an astrology group’s holiday luncheon to give my assessment for each of the Sun signs for 2011.

Aquarius (Jan 21 to Feb 19)
Aquarians, you know them…”you’re entitled to my opinion anytime you want it” and “you’re your entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong you are”. Forward thinking, sometimes aloof and distant, Aquarians can be among the best friends you will have. They are the ones who stand by you and help you find a way to help yourself.
Aquarians (especially those born early in Aquarius) will experience a high energy year with their vitality and spirits are alignment with their ability to assert themselves. New and inventive ideas and beliefs are accented and a strong personal need to search for the meaning of life. The two ways this can be done is to either look outside to find yourself or to turn inward to discover you’re spirituality within.
One of the major areas of life accented in 2011 is work and career. In this area we can expect either a re-evaluation or action to improve one’s image at work or image in life in general. Those born late Aquarius can become practical idealist’s, especially in the area of money. This would be great for a new venture or even “shaking up” their view of the world. In other words, this can be a year where a new approach to life can be initiated.
Do not think I forgot about relationships. In general there are two makes and models of Aquarians, the emotionally even and conservative Aquarian and the independent and freedom loving Aquarian. Aquarians need a caring and compassionate partner this next year. A lot of mothering is needed or the need to mother others. Relationships in 2011 are the area of life where one needs to feel “at home”, secure and grounded. This allows them to act with confidence during the year.
In 2011, Aquarians can develop their education by returning to school, take classes or broaden their horizons in some way. This would be a great year to plan a trip, study a foreign language, and delve into learning philosophies and religion. This is a year to be cautious with legal contracts and making binding agreements.
Finally, 2011 brings the need to keep secrets that you are entrusted and be cautious and not “blurt out” the ‘truth’. Take some time to weigh your words. Of all the signs in the zodiac, it is the Aquarians that can take a sigh of relief (or sadness) in the departure of a planet that involves sacrifice, letting go, illusion and spiritual discovery. This planet of dissolving our boundaries has been in the sign of Aquarius since 1999.
Pisces (Feb 20 to March 20)
Pisces-here is the sign that is the culmination of all the vibrations of the signs that transcends the mundane into the ethereal. Jokingly referred to as, the “garbage pit of the zodiac”. Pisceans are known for their empathy, compassion and ability to forgive. Very sensitive to others, Pisceans often may not have a full understanding of themselves.
Do you remember what I said for Aquarians? “Aquarians can take a sigh of relief or sadness in its departure of a planet that involves sacrifice, letting go, illusion and spiritual discovery, leaves the sign of Aquarius that it has been in since 1999.” Well Pisces, this planet that is moving out of Aquarius is moving into your sign and will be there until 2025. Give that much time to go through Pisces, they can expect a further deepening of their altruistic attitudes and be challenged by developing their own sense of reality verses illusion.
People born in early Pisces, may expect the need to clear up their image; seek spiritual guides and may find themselves more introspective. In 2011, the Pisces may want to break out of convention and move toward the uncommon. Meditation, prayer and inner consciousness work is accented. This may come in the form of active dream states, or on a more practical level, learning to let go, volunteerism and even working on your home environment.
This coming year the activity appears to dwell on coming out of a shell and integrating direct expression and develop a stronger sense of self.
Those born in late Pisces may expect the unexpected by wanting to make major changes in their life by becoming more independent and to free the self. My counsel to anyone going through this cycle is to “let it flow” and do not try to stop the energies of change.
Relationships and partnerships bring much comfort for the year; however you may question either the nature of the relationship or be looking deep in finding meaning in the relationship. There is an indication that you may not feel as though you are being loved or cared for by others. This energy appears to be generated by you and can create inner stress. The best way of working with this energy is to be direct in your communication with those that you may have this feeling. What also appears is that Pisces may experience love interests becoming relationships and finding it a lot of fun!
Aries (March 21 to April 20)
We all know an Aries, although you may wish you didn’t (just kidding!) Strong, initiating and a fiery person, Aries know only four people: me, myself, I and yours truly. Yet within the energy of Aries is the spark to get things started, to begin. The first sign of spring brings the promise of an auspicious new year; the promise of new beginnings. We all need the style, strength and vision.
Well, Aries, the universe made 2011 just for you. You earned it, or perhaps deserved it. Your personality and the way you perceive life are full of change and opportunity. Early Aries people start with a strong need to be independent and to expand. This also could include a new love interest or involve taking some kind of risk. Without a delicate balance, this could be trouble. With too much change and opportunity without some control can over extend the Aries and find themselves without focus. However the Aries in 2011 can find the focus through a planetary energy known as “nature’s brake pedal.” This will allow the Aries to balance all areas of their life, but especially the relationships they have with others and career, although they may feel hampered and frustrated that they can’t move faster
So of the big four areas of life; self, partners, career and home, Aries will find the first three quite active. Of note, there is both break and gas pedal actions for the 2011 Aries. Therefore remaining focused and to not allow the energies to out of hand.
Those born in mid Aries will find themselves in transformation, which can be quite difficult, but yet quite necessary to go through. This cycle involves looking deeply within seeking the “real” self and eliminating all that is false within them. This purge opens up Aries for a new beginning. The point is that it’s more of a rebirth and it takes quite a while for the person to emerge.
For the past few years astrologers have been talking about the cardinal T-Square. Aries is the beginning point of that energy and the Aries can feel buffeted by moving forward only to have a brake pedal slowing down their progress. In addition, the Aries will want to deepen their understandings of self, especially as they relate to work and how others see them.
There are several things to say about Aries in 2011 and relationships. It looks as though the Aries will seek stability in relationships, but relationships may be going through a restructuring, or at least a review. It’s a cautionary note that the 2011 Aries may find periods where they may feel that they are not being emotionally supported or that they are ones that are holding their feelings back.
Yet Aries, do not lament for 2011 is a year of excitement, energy, beginnings and a make-over. Besides, it’s only 365 days long.
Taurus (April 21 to May 21)
Okay Taurus, we have heard all about you, lover of fine things, stubborn, good music, stubborn, easy going and the disposition of a kind raging bull. Oh yes, did I say stubborn?…well maybe not stubborn, perhaps just fixed in their position. It often takes a Taurus awhile to get use to something, but once it is part of them…they don’t want to let it go, even if they need to do so. It’s the energy of Taurus to follow through that we all can learn from; that’s their style.
The Taurus in 2011 focus is on the internal self and their subconscious. They have opportunity within and a sunny disposition on their side and as the year progresses; more enthusiasm. The Taurus will find that they have the need to push themselves forward by asserting themselves in love relationships, taking more risk than they usually do and doing whatever is possible for stability. Taking control of their lives is a central theme in 2011.
Finances seem to take center stage for the Taurus in 2011. Not that they are aggressive, but more careful, deliberate and safe oriented. The energy involved here is to allow for careful planning and not to allow outside influences to alter their direction.
The 2011 Taurus chart shows a very strong will and determination. It is through the developing of the subconscious that the Taurus will find the inner resolve to “push through” and persevere. Love relationships and/or partnerships are the two areas of life that the Taurus will not want change and will be “bullish” in maintaining their comforts in these areas.
You can enjoy the freedom of expressing yourself in unconventional ways and may be attracted to exciting and different activities in which you excel. Comfort may lie within the security of another and their resources, yet the struggle you may find is your ability to communicate your position and have others listen to you.
In 2011 our Taurus friends will do well to maintain routines, exercise and remain secure within their place of work.
Gemini (May 22 to June 21)
“Jump’n Gemini”, as they say. Gemini’s are intellectually agile and communicative. With one self on the material plane and the other self in the clouds, Gemini’s are in love details and information. Gemini’s have a gift in communication and use intellectual logic to guide them. Weather its mechanical, music, non-verbal, written, computer driven, that is the domain of Gemini. Thoughts, thing and beliefs are Gemini’s strong suits; staying focused may take a bit of work.
In Gemini 2011 we see the last return of the cardinal T-Square we saw in 2010. For Gemini this affects friends, long term goals, love relationships, children, and your ability to transform. You may have difficulty accepting your faults, which you may see as weaknesses. The need is to learn to control that power your own life. This energy may find you wavering between rugged individualism, and a fear of making decisions. This could give you an aversion to authority. However this would be a perfect time to blend all these energies and bring self-discipline. Introspection plays a very important role.
While you may be a Gemini there is also a lot of Taurus energy in 2011. This would indicate a more cautious approach than you are normally used to. Yet, on whole for 2011 you are fun loving, generous and popular. You know how to indulge yourself and your loved ones. You love to share adventures and philosophies. You love goals and my even plan on changing them, rather unexpectedly. The caution is that you need to make sure that your behavior does not become over-indulgent or extravagant.
One particular energy noted deals with going in to the depths of yourself. You have a probing mind and an ability to assess situations rapidly. Your words are straight to the point. You enjoy delving beyond the superficial. You will have the ability to make the necessary changes demanded within close relationships. In addition, you will have a high energy level and a call to right the wrongs you see around you.
Of interesting note in 2011 is how you are perceived by the public and your career. You may want to be of service through your profession. It is also possible that you either question or experience a sense of loss surrounding your chosen life direction. Where work and others are concerned its image that you may be inspired to either improve or to change. A word of caution is that the outer world may not understand your motives or direction.
There may be a tendency to be apathetic and self-indulgent, preferring to ride on the camel's back as it is more fun. Self-discipline is required to achieve your goals. You may waver between rugged individualism, and a fear of making decisions. This is especially true in the areas of long and short term goals. You need to learn to blend the two energies and bring self-discipline to your enormous abilities to do good. You will then be capable of much achievement.
In addition, Gemini’s have a need to understand the cycles of life. In 2011 you may be sensitive to the emotional undercurrents in many situations and will want to explore this further. This takes on a spiritual or religious color. This will not be the year to take on any risk and you may want to focus your short term goals and/or put some structure in to you creative self.
Cancer (June 22 to July 23)
What I love about Cancer’s is their ability to perceive their environment and react to it in such a way that they “become” their environment and can sense whether they should stay or run. A hard shell on the outside, but tender on the inside. Much of a Cancer’s success is their ability to move sideways to approach a problem rather than head on. They are great in influencing other by allowing others to feel that the idea the Cancer gave them, is their own.
Because Cancer is one of the four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) it is being most affected by the transiting planets in 2011. There seems to be a “brake pedal and gas pedal” in the area of career and home. Somewhat of a balancing act with security and perhaps a need to be at home or within yourself verses change, independence a freedom at work. Outgoing at work, others may see you as independent, outgoing and somewhat a non-conformist. At home, a different story, loving home and the security it brings, you may find yourself restructuring the home you live in and/or your inner “home”.
The “brake pedal and gas pedal” principle above is also part of what us astrologers call a “grand square. This configuration for Cancer’s in 2011 brings a strong deep sense of finding your inner truth and working with power of those around you and their need to influence you. Your challenge is to be powerful in the most positive sense of the word. For Cancer’s, this configuration influences the four main areas of any person’s life (self, home, others, career).This can bring challenges from the outside and inner stresses. While this may sound not very good, this configuration brings strong will and a lot of activity. The need to succeed and will fight to keep moving forward.
During 2011, Cancer’s can become stuck on certain ideas and find it difficult to change your mind. You may have difficulty communicating your thoughts to others, primarily because you have so many original thoughts and ideas that you find it difficult to capture them on paper.
Because you are spurred to ambition by your need for security, you may have difficulty accepting your faults. Once you learn to accept you’re own and other people's limitations you will wield more personal power. As I mentioned before, you have the ability to develop great creative power in 2011.
The energies in the Cancer in 2011 are insightful, creative and intuitive. You have artistic talents. You attract people with your warm and sympathetic nature. You are a dependable, stable and dutiful partner. You enjoy organizing social occasions. You have the ability to form good business partnerships.
Leo (July 24 to August 23)
Leo the lion, they say. Leo’s are known for their playfulness, courage, strong personalities and the one most likely to be a perpetual kid. Taking leadership is a Leo’s default setting, but oftentimes so is taking the credit. Sunny disposition and an optimistic view of life, Leo’s can be full of drama.
Unlike our Cancerian friends, in 2011 Leo’s do not have the same stressors. Instead of a grand cross, there are lots of trines. In “astrologees”, that means that energies are flowing, rather than fighting with each other.
These 2011 energies, you are able to communicate your thoughts and feelings with ease. Being charming will come easy, but be cautious you are not manipulative. You have a talent for making decisions based on both your heart and mind. Leo’s in 2011 are inventive and use their unique talents well. People are attracted to your easy-going sense of individuality. You are interested in out of the ordinary pursuits. You are a powerful person with leadership skills (but Leo’s already know that.) In 2011 you ramp up your intensity, quick to get to the point, and enjoy a challenge. You understand what motivates other people. You are enthusiastic about so many things, and have ambition to succeed. You naturally find yourself in leadership positions and react well to them.
In 2011 Leo’s may find themselves more in the public eye, but find that travel, spiritual pursuits and even education will provide a sense of security and being “at home”. In fact there can be sudden or unusual trips or delving into a new area of study. It seems taking some classes would prove beneficial.
In regard to your thoughts, you may have a tendency to be seduced into believing other people's ideas. This can confuse your own thinking and could be deceived by others, stay your ground and look at others beliefs as their beliefs and not yours.
Career is a great opportunity area for 2011. It is your own creative nature that can bring opportunity, but there could be some risk taking involved…don’t worry, your game.
Leo’s can also expect to have a generous and expansive nature. You take an optimistic view on life, and few things seem too far-fetched. Adventure is highlighted as the Moon (your emotions and needs for the year) is in a great relationship with the planet that bubbles over with opportunity, expansion and excitement.
The year coming up will be a good year to develop you own beliefs and refine your communication abilities. Any form of communication can be reconstructed and review for use. This becomes evident in your personal relationships with others and those you work with.
All things being equal, Leo’s on 2011 are gentle, loving and charming and express themselves in an affectionate manner and enjoy the company of other people. The 2011 Leo has an abundance of energy in all areas of their solar chart.
Virgo (August 24 to September 23)
If there ever was a zodiac sign that needed a better press agent, it would be Virgo. With a wide perception that Virgo’s are critical and super detailed. Virgo’s talent is seeing the trees (not the forest) and knowing how to break down complex problems into manageable parts. Service is the key for Virgo and as long as they have the control to provide service in their own way.
In 2011, this mutable (changing) sign has a fairly easy time, especially in comparison to the other signs already spoken of. They and others (including partners) are the obvious energies operating. The planets involved are your Sun, which is your self-identity and a planet that dissolves the energies it is connected with. You could allow other people to tell you how to live your life. You have a pleasing nature and wouldn't dream of upsetting other people so you may find that you hold in your feelings and “swallow” the challenges made by others. Your challenge is to use your artistic and sensitive nature for the benefit of other people without losing yourself or to be led astray. Spending time on your own could be helpful.
Comfort will come from your work and career. You have an inner self-confidence which helps you build firm foundations in your life and achieve your ambitions. You work solidly to build yourself a secure and firm footing, earning the respect of those around you. Yet, while work is a place of need and comfort, money is an area where you will find that you have to work hard and conserve your resources.

You are able to apply yourself to the job at hand. You are enthusiastic about so many things, and have ambition to succeed. You naturally find yourself in leadership positions and react well to them.
Libra (Sept 24 to October 23)
Libra…known for being sweet, easy going, always nice and pleasing. Able to get people to mediate and can see both sides of a situation. Libra can also be known for “Making peace at any price”.
Yet in 2011, Libra, a cardinal sign, there is a great deal of activity. Your emotional energy runs high, especially where friends and long term goals are concerned. While Libra tries to make things fair and equitable, no matter how hard you try it may feel as though you did not get your fair share. There is a tone of seriousness through the year of not getting heard or being appreciated.
The hot spots for 2011 are your home, personal self and partnerships. These are three of the most important areas in one’s life so you can expect change; it will suit you well to allow these energies to unfold naturally. Like Cancer, there is a “brake and gas pedal” effect where relationships surge, yet you become more withholding and may not want to change. Ultimately the need to find the truth within yourself will win out and you will find resolution in your “home”.
In an effort to play fair, others may change the rules and create a situation where the Libra has to stick up for themselves. This is the use of the emotional energy we spoke of earlier.
You will have a tendency to thrust your own original thoughts and ideas onto other people. You willfully defend your right to have different views but can fail to appreciate other people's points of view. Learning to respect all forms of communication and thinking is a positive outlet for the usually calm Libra to remain calm when in the faced with unfair changing circumstances.
In 2011, Libra wants a deep and true foundation; however that is being shaken by others unwillingness to be fair and this affects agreements and even contracts that the Libra has but forth. This can create inner stress for the Libra that they cannot always be the peacemaker.
You need to spend a lot of time developing self-discipline as your impulsiveness may be an impediment to reaching your goals. You may have a tendency to be apathetic and self-indulgent, during this period. Fortunately you have a lot of personal power during this period, however this could be a power struggle and caution would need to be exercised. This is quite a change from the typical role of peacemaker.
While 2011 may be a loss of equilibrium for the Libra, you can use the changes of others to create new strategies in mediation and asking for what you really want and to get agreements between all parties concerned.
Your unique individuality shines in 2011 with many enterprising ideas. You will enjoy the freedom of expressing yourself in unconventional ways and may be attracted to exciting and different activities in which you excel.
Scorpio (October 24 to November 22)
Scorpio has effective public relations. I did not say good, because often the mere mention Scorpio drives fear into our hearts and fear of revenge if we cross them. In actuality, Scorpio represents ultimate Truth and going to deep within to find the Truth. Often the Scorpio can be judge, jury and executioner; a non-productive trait to be worked on by Scorpio. In the ultimate Truth, there is surrender to the Universe and to God. These are the two sides of Scorpio.
In 2011 the Scorpion can be drawn between your assertive self and the side which wants to dream. Learning to integrate the two sides and you will have a very creative year. It’s noted that you may have some difficulty being patient with loved ones. You could be aggressive and irritable when others fail to keep up with your activities. Be mindful that you can be equally impatient with yourself.
You could have difficulty concentrating as you have so many thoughts and ideas. You can talkative (in general Scorpios’ are not talkative, especially on the personal emotional plane) and you could lose sight of the essence of the conversation.
In 2011, you are responsible, serious and reliable. Work and a career will be important to you this year and you have the self-discipline to succeed. You can be restless and find it difficult to settle in one place. Your larger-than-life ideals could stand in the way of you achieving your goals. Your challenge is to find a balance between stability and adventure. Then you will be able to reach your goals.
This next year you can feel safe and nurtured when with friends or groups of people, especially women. You may become emotionally attached to friends and you may find humanitarian groups fulfill a need within you. Yet you may fear anything hidden and have more free-floating anxiety. This could be because you feel that your own boundaries are constantly threatened. A serious examination of hidden realms may help you to conquer your fears can be relieved through meditation, dream work or journaling.
There is a good sense of values and you have a talent for following your intuition. Maintain this good balance between the intuitive and the rational sides of your nature. In 2011 you can apply your ideals; what I refer to as being a “practical idealist”.
Your solar chart for 2011 indicates a strong sense of self. This can be ambitious and seeking power through your career. This may involve a battle for top position. You need autonomy and independence in your profession. Career seems to be the active area in your life.
Sagittarius (November 24 to December 22)
Light and breezy, Sagittarius is known for being optimistic, helpful and easy to get along with. That is until you get to really know them! Very independent, freedom is their battle cry. The Sagittarian wants to help everyone possible, so they often have a hard time saying “NO”. An avid learner of knowledge, they tend to explore their external world prior to age 45 and explore their internal world after 45 years old.
Unlike the “typical Sagittarius”, 2011 may find yourself in need of support from your friends as your emotional self is mixed with a planet which represents focus and growth, but also frustration or restriction. This could bring either shyness or lacking in self- confidence or developing your long term friendships and emotionally connecting with friends from the past. You can be pulled between enthusiasm and restriction and may choose to be either expansive or structured and attract a partner who does the opposite for you. When you can blend these two energies you are capable of great things. On a cautionary note, you may struggle with your tendency to be self-indulgent and become attached to the comforts of life. You could have trouble finding the middle road. The lesson here is moderation.
In what may seem a contradiction, in 2011 Sagittarians are inventive and use their unique talents well. People are attracted to your easy-going sense of individuality and are interested in out of the ordinary pursuits. With any contradictions in our life, we need to resolve or allow the contradiction to exist. In this case the previous statement of “shy” refers to your emotional state, while the “inventive” I just described refers to your spirit and vitality.
Your love life and creative side could have some excitement in store and it would do best to allow this energy to flow and to keep your communications open, honest and clear.
The planet that breaks and makes our illusions is in the area of life which deals with your home; both outer home and your “inner” spiritual home. This can indicate that there could be either some confusion in the home or that your home becomes a place where you can “find” yourself. Be cautious for deception or someone clouding your sense of home and security. You may seek to escape into a dream-like home setting. This energy can be summed up as to “let go” of any perception that clouds your well-being.
Career and your routines will be your strong suits for 2011. You may expect new opportunities with co-workers or find that your routine is expanding. You have a talent for putting other people at their ease. Your natural enthusiasm is contagious. You can enthusiastic with an endless source of energy, so dare I say that an exercise routine be started or increased. If you have the attitude that, “when I get the urge to exercise, I sit down until the urge goes away”, then I suggest a hobby or some other new activity.
Capricorn (December 23 to January 20, 2012)
While Capricorns are very productive, I’ve heard they are sometimes known to be rather lackluster, but the Capricorns I know mature at an early age and get younger as they grow older. Their interests are often involved in practical application of ideas, money, personal achievement, money, recognition, organization, leadership and money. Life for a Capricorn is a business meeting. Generally, Capricorns are responsible and respectful, with a strong need to be an authority figure. They command respect, but could tend to become superior and bossy. Oh yes, if you want something done that makes you look good, call upon a Capricorn.
Of note for 2011, Capricorn is the last of the cardinal signs and is most affected by the transits of 2011 like Aries, Cancer and Libra. This is a transformative year, especially those Capricorns born in early degrees. You may find yourself more intense, obsessive and have great personal power. You may find it easy to rid yourself of the unwanted but may be intolerant of others less powerful. These Capricorns are seeking the “Truth” within themselves and in their environment.
The “brake and gas pedal” occurs in your solar areas of life in your career and love life, creativity and children. It appears to me that the transformation energy that you have wants to set you free to do what you want to do. You can be pulled between enthusiasm and restriction. You may choose to be either expansive or structured. When you can blend these two energies you are capable of great things. Work may become hard, boring or even stressful, while your love life, creativity and children areas of life want expansion, fun and excitement. You and your approach to these energies are the key to the transformation process. You can become impulsive and determined to be an individual. You want to do things your own way and will dig in your heels if anyone tries to stop you. You have the ability to be a unique and original leader.
There can be a tendency to be extravagant and self-centered. You enjoy the fun side of life, but when the going gets tough you lose interest and wander off for greener pastures. You might find you have difficulty being assertive in your relationships. You may fear confrontation and shy away from emotional disputes.
In 2011, you are determined to be an individual. Take advantage of this. You have a busy, unusual and unconventional home-life. You may find change within your home, perhaps to redecorate or feel the need to change your “inner” home in a spiritual or religious sense.
This next year it looks as though you can seek adventure through travel, study or religion. You are on a quest to explore the higher meaning of life in 2011.
